PhilosophyOnline
PhilosophyOnline is intended to act as a useful resource for those studying AS or A2 level Philosophy (and in this case Religious Studies as well). As well as teaching notes and exercises for students, there are links, online annotated texts of well known philosophers and historical and background information. To see what else is available click on the PhilosophyOnline logo in the top left of the screen.
The site is updated fairly frequently - as and when time allows - and other projects are under development. All material is copyright of the authors, but may be used and distributed for non-profit making activities, teaching and private study.
Please email me if you have any questions, constructive criticisms or enquiries:
Web Design
The authors/designers of this site are qualified teachers (in fields which include Philosophy, English and Media) and have produced a number of online projects. These include an online screening test for Communication, an annotated version of Tess of the d'Urbervilles, a web-based NEBSM management CD and a website of basic skills resources for Swansea Skills Service.

How to use this resource
You may use the information on this site in a number of different ways:
If you decide to take the second option you can follow the menu headings across the top of the screen from left to right. If you print out the resource it will of course follow this order. One of these two methods is recommended at first until you get to know the material well enough to skip back and forth between the different topics.
Since the online version contains some interactive material the Word and PDF versions will not match it exactly - otherwise, they are exactly the same.
AQA AS and A2 level Philosophy
The syllabus followed for AQA Philosophy is made up of 6 units studied over a 2 year period. This allows for choices of text or theme in both the first and second year, but also prescribes a compulsory Theory of Knowledge unit and a Synoptic Essay unit (the latter based on an essay chosen from AQA prescribed titles).
