Distance Tutoring
If you are studying AS or A2 Philosophy in the UK and would like some help, I am available as a distance tutor. This would mean:
- Your essays marked and returned to you with detailed comments and suggestions (by post or email).
- Telephone support.
- Additional support materials, suggested websites and further reading.
- Essay writing support (including a modest degree of punctuation, grammar and spelling help, if needed).
The minimum tutoring period is one week at a cost of £25 (depending on how much work is involved) payable a week in advance. Tutoring is currently available in the following subjects:
- Theory of Knowledge (Epistemology)
- Philosophy of Religion
- Moral Philosophy (Ethics)
- Philosophy of Mind
- Descartes's Meditations
- Sartre's Existentialism and Humanism
- Nietzsche's Beyond Good and Evil
- Hume's Enquiry Concerning Human Understanding
- General synoptic essay support (at least, up until June 2009, when the old syllabus is phased out)
Other topics may also be supported on request. Also, I do occasionally support students at degree level, or outside the UK.
