Does life have no meaning because we die? Would life be meaningful if we were immortal? I think not. The same questions would arise: why are we here, what are we to do with our lives. So, I think the length of our lives isn't so relevant to the meaning of it. Obviously, if it is very short, then we have no time to do anything, but length generally would not seem to be the main problem.

I would suggest that the whether life has meaning or not is seperate from its length, life can still (or not as the case may be) have meaning; the two are independant. The meaning of life is more leaning towards the religious interpretation and aspects of God given meaning or Darwisnism etc..
