What is the Adoption Information Line?

The Adoption Information Line and its sister service The Fostering Information Line assists local authority social services departments and adoption agencies to recruit carers for the children they have identified as being in need of foster care or adoption placements.

We provide information and advice to members of the general public on all aspects of fostering and adoption. Even if you have only just started to think about adoption you can call to ask any questions you might have. Then you can think about it some more and if you decide you want to pursue the idea further contact us again.

We also help other organisations in this field to develop information about what they do for the internet. Particularly local authorities who want an internet presence that works specifically to recruit prospective foster carers and adopters.
